Besins Healthcare has announced the acquisition of UniD Manufacturing, a Belgium-based pharmaceutical development and manufacturing company with more than 20 years of recognized expertise in long-acting drug delivery technologies.
This acquisition strengthens Besins Healthcare’s long-term innovation capabilities in hormone health and reinforces the Group’s ability to invest in scientific, technological, development and manufacturing expertise for the future.
UniD Manufacturing brings specialized expertise in long-acting drug delivery technologies and advanced polymer-based pharmaceutical formulations. Through this acquisition, Besins Healthcare gains access to a specialized development and manufacturing platform supporting complex pharmaceutical technologies.
The acquisition brings together two highly complementary areas of expertise. Besins Healthcare brings deep expertise in hormone therapies, market knowledge and international reach, while UniD contributes recognized technological, development and manufacturing capabilities.
Together, these capabilities will support Besins Healthcare’s long-term innovation ambitions while strengthening its ability to connect science, technology, development and production.
Based in Seraing, Belgium, UniD brings more than 20 years of expertise and 52 highly skilled professionals who will join Besins Healthcare. Their recognized know-how will strengthen the Group’s development, manufacturing and innovation capabilities.
As part of the integration, UniD Manufacturing, renamed Besins Healthcare PharmTech, will progressively become a center of excellence dedicated to innovation and future development projects. At the same time, UniD will continue serving its current clients and partners, with a commitment to continuity, quality and a carefully managed transition.
With revenues of over €700 million in 2025 and continued double-digit growth, Besins Healthcare continues to strengthen its global position and invest in capabilities that support the future of hormone health.
