We are proud to share a meaningful initiative recently carried out by our colleagues in Brazil, who took part in Sementes do Bem, a volunteer project created by Farmarcas, one of our commercial partners.
A Meaningful Local Initiative
Farmarcas is a Brazilian association that brings together networks of independent pharmacies and supports several social initiatives across local communities. One of these initiatives, Sementes do Bem, mobilises volunteers to prepare meals for people in vulnerable situations, encouraging companies and partners to dedicate time and energy to support those most in need.
Our Colleagues in Action
As part of this initiative, 18 colleagues from Besins Healthcare Brazil joined a volunteer session marked by teamwork, generosity and a strong collective spirit. Together with other volunteers, they helped prepare 645 meals, which were distributed the same day to families and individuals facing food insecurity.
Supporting the Cause Through Upcycling
Beyond this hands-on contribution, Besins Healthcare Brazil also supports Sementes do Bem through a waste upcycling initiative. Materials such as boxes and pallets that would otherwise be discarded are sold and repurposed, with the funds raised donated each month to support charitable actions like this one.
A Concrete Example of Our Commitments in Action
This initiative reflects several of the principles that guide our sustainability journey: supporting the well-being of communities, encouraging responsible use of resources, and contributing to a more sustainable and inclusive local environment.
We warmly thank our Brazil colleagues for their engagement and for bringing our values to life through meaningful local action. Their commitment is a great example of how small actions, when carried out together, can make a real difference.
